Our outdoor classes are designed to connect all children, especially those engaged in homeschooling, unschooling, or distance learning, with nature through hands-on experiences.

Engage in hikes, live animal encounters, and on-trail explorations throughout H.E.R. Living Campus, led by a knowledgeable Activity Guide. Class sizes are limited to 15 students. Youth enjoy their entire class time outdoors except for extreme inclement weather. Weather-appropriate clothing is always required! In late fall and winter, this includes layers, snow pants (when appropriate), a waterproof outer layer and boots, hats, socks, and two pairs of mittens/gloves (one must be waterproof). Rainboots and rain gear are strongly encouraged, as needed year-round.
