What we do.

About H.E.R. Living Campus and Mabilijengo Cultural Research and Preservation (often referred to as TeamGo), H.E.R. Living Campus is an 8-acre immersive learning environment. Our mission is to foster safe community space and immersive learning, centered on the celebration of Black culture by providing fluid access to elders, educators, storytellers, and a network of compassionate whole health practitioners. Our aim is to continually cultivate a space that promotes Honoring our Ancestors, Educating our children, and Restoring our families. Mabilijengo Cultural Research and Preservation is a spirit-led nonprofit composed of a network of highly skilled humanitarians who extend themselves to the community and improve quality of life through weekly programs, life-skills camps, and a village system of whole family support. We promote race equity and community healing through the sharing of interactive education on historic and present-day family wisdom, race consciousness, and spiritual traditions of Black folks and Black culture. Headquartered in Indianapolis, IN, we offer programming that supports other organizations while demystifying anti-racist and anti-colonial ideals. We provide a space where Black folk are able to exist safely in their own bodies where we rest, imagine and experience joy-- commanding agency and self-determination in their own destiny. We align in solidarity with those indigenous to the land on the path to de/colonize everything and at the forefront of qualifying health/human service organizations and philanthropy who express their interest in providing care and working collectively to redefine wholeness and wellness in honor of their ancient knowledge.
